Pakistan Institute of Public Opinion is a leading institution of survey research in Pakistan. Founded in 1980, it has conducted well over 1000 major research projects, many of which have produced pioneering studies of international standards. Its proven track record in survey research spans a wide range of subjects including socio-economic and political research, marketing research, Media studies, Election studies and many other subjects.
It operates through its 3 full service offices in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. It has 17 Regional Field Centers and a team of over 300 trained field workers. It has a modern Data Processing infrastructure and a strong IT team which connects it efficiently and effectively with its own team as well as with clients at home and across the world. It has a team of over 30 professionals who manage different parts of its research operations. All professional staff members have a Masters or higher degree in their relevant fields of expertise including Statistics, Psychology, Management and other disciplines.
PIPO has been affiliated with Gallup International Association since 1980 and was voted in as full member in the Annual Gallup International Association meeting in Dublin, Ireland in 1984.It is a member of several national and international professional bodies and is ISO certified.
Its clients include such prestigious UK institutions as BBC headquarters, British Council, University of Cambridge and many others. It has done extensive research for the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, UNICEF, WHO, ILO and other leading global institutions.
